I am a full-time PhD student in my third year in the Faculty of Health and Social Care.My research interests are the sexuality and personal relationships of adults with learning disabilities.My research is a qualitative study. The research title is,Sexual relationships of women with learning disabilities: an exploration of views and experiences. Data was collected through one to one semi-structured interviews with women with mild to moderate learning disabilities who were members of a dating agency of people with learning disabilities. I am interested in finding out the views of women with learning disabilities on sexual relationships than what other people think about the women's sexual relationships experiences.I volunteered with the Dating Agency where participants were members.
My background is in teaching,social care and social work.I have taught in the secondary school both in the UK and in Zimbabwe.I have worked with adults with learning disabilities in residential services,day services,in the community and a dating agency as a relationship support worker for adults with learning disabilities.

My current project is a qualitative study focusing on the sexuality and personal relationships of people with learning disabilities living independently.The study aims to find out through semi-structured interviews how people with learning disabilites perceive of their own sexuality.
I was a Religious Studies teacher and Examiner in Zimbabwe and the UK.I am interested in further developing this through delivering training.
