Research interests

Dr. Mirjam Hauck is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Languages at the Open University (OU)/UK where she has been investigating the use of technologies for the learning and teaching of languages and cultures for almost two decades. In her research and publications she focuses on the interdependence between multimodal communicative competence and intercultural communicative competence in technology-mediated language learning and teaching, in Virtual Exchange (VE) contexts in particular. Most recently she has been exploring the development of critical digital literacies through VE.
