Professional biography

Ayomide Oluseye is currently a PhD Researcher at the Open University, UK. She holds a B.Sc Degree in Psychology from the Redeemer's University Nigeria and an M.Sc Degree in Public Health from the Bournemouth University, UK. Previously, she has worked as a research assistant/intern at the Institute of Public Health, Obafemi Awolowo University and the Department of Mental Health, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Research interests

Ayomide's research interests lie in adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Her research work centers on exploring the experiences of teenage mothers in relation to teenage pregnancy and motherhood.  She is also interested in qualitative methods.

Impact and engagement

Ayomide's research is particularly focused on deconstructing teenage pregnancy and motherhood as a problem in Nigeria. She is also interested in providing insights into teenage pregnancy and motherhood from the perspectives of teenage mothers in Nigeria.

The Open University joins programme promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights in crisis hit countries

The Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies Faculty has announced its commitment to a new multi-million pound Government funded consortium within the UK Aid Connect programme to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
