WELS Postgraduate research

The Faculty supports and hosts a large, interdisciplinary and international group of students. Our work is funded by external organisations including research councils (ESRC and AHRC), charities (such as Willen Hospice and World Vision), organisations (such as Leverhulme, the Globe Theatre and Public Health, England, Shell) and through a range of internal collaborations (faculty, Priority Research Area, LTI, CREET). We value partnership with organisations to develop future researchers and research informed practitioners.

Students are embedded within academic communities in the faculty and across the university. All of our research degree student projects address significant issues in research, policy and practice in the fields of education, social care, health research, education technology
