COMPASS Jobs Fair

The Open University will be exhibiting at COMPASS Jobs Fair in London on 11 November 2019. COMPASS is the largest social work recruitment event in the UK.

Delegates can expect the latest employment, training and career development opportunities in social work and social care, with over 30 exhibitors and a seminar programme with top speakers and leading experts in the sector.

Dr Sharif Haider, OU Lecturer in Social Work, will be delivering a half-hour seminar drawing on his extensive courtroom experience as a social worker for over 12 years in an interactive session on surviving and thriving in the witness box:

This lightning session will transport you to a courtroom where you will learn how to stand strong in the face of adverse grilling by a barrister, gaining an understanding of how to survive and thrive on a Barrister’s tricky questions. After attending the session you will know how to effectively prepare for cross-examination.
