WELS Postgraduate Research Open Day

You are warmly invited to the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies (WELS) and the Centre for Research in Education and Educational Technology (CREET) Open Day on 15th October, where you can find out about our full range of higher degree courses including PhD and professional doctorates.

Our Open Day is an opportunity to meet students and academics and to find out more about doctoral research. You can discuss your research interests, see our research facilities and hear about some of our current research projects.

Research within WELS is grouped into four thematic research areas:

• Children, young people, parenting and families
• Transformative education
• Language and literacies
• Health, wellbeing and social care

And within CREET, research is grouped into four areas:

• Childhoods, youth and sport
• Education futures
• Languages and applied linguistics
• Technology enhanced learning

The event will outline the different research degree programmes we offer and provide information about how to make an application, including writing a research proposal and completing the application form.
