Profile summary

Professional biography

I joined the OU in September 2008 working as a Regional Coordinator on Openings in the Centre for Widening Participation based in East Grinstead (R13). Since the closure of the region I worked as on Access as a Presentation Manager, supporting the Head of Curriculum; as a Senior Manager in AL Support and Professional Development and I have also worked supporting students and ALs on the Open Programme as a Manager, Communications and Engagement. Currently, I am Staff Tutor for Open and Access, which means I look after the Open Programme, Open Modules ('Open Boxes') and Y032 People, work and society.

I am an AL on Y032, People, work and society and DD101/DD102 Introducing the Social Sciences. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association (FSEDA). 

Before joining the OU I worked in a local Further Education College as the Head of Teacher Training and Access for several years and prior to that, I worked in industry in training and management development.
