Sets out the role and responsibilities for nurses providing care and support for people with dementia. It updates an earlier strategy published in 2013, and aims to support all nurses to be responsive to the needs of people with dementia, continue to develop their skills and expertise, and achieve the best outcomes for people with dementia, their carers and families. It looks at how nurses can use the Dementia Core Skills Education and Training Framework and outline’s their role within all phases of dementia and area of nursing practice.
