All in the Mind - Radio 4

mental health word cloud

Produced with the support of the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies (WELS), the OU/Radio 4 series "All in the Mind" returns with a new 8-part series starting Tuesday 25th October. The programmes are broadcast each Tuesday at 21.00 with a repeat on the following day, Wednesday, at 15.30.

The series is presented by psychologist Claudia Hammond and explore three aspects of human behaviour: mental health and services, the latest neuroscience research, and new ideas in psychology. Each programme features interviews with academic researchers, mental health practitioners, and people with psychological issues. Each edition is usually in magazine format and includes three or four featured items.

In this new series there is also the return of the All in the Mind Awards – an opportunity for listeners to nominate an individual, professional or group who has made a real difference to someone’s mental health. The awards will be launched in November. OpenLearn also has extensive content in connection with the series subject areas. For more information go to www.open.edu/openlearn/whats-on/radio/all-the-mind-autumn/winter-2016 (content will be added throughout the 8 week series).
