Study

Our faculty offers a wide range of qualifications across health, education, social care, sport, early years and languages. We structure our teaching to ensure that students develop the study skills required for degree level work:

• Students are able to study on Access courses prior to starting a qualification in order to build up their skills. 
• Woven through all modules are activities which are designed to develop study skills and digital literacy.
• Our students tell us that OU study builds confidence.

We teach through ‘Supported Open Learning’ where we use a wide range of onscreen, online and print-based materials to develop students’ study and research skills. Each student is assigned a tutor to facilitate learning through the course of each module and to be the main point of contact when students have questions about their studies.
