Professional biography

I completed my undergraduate degree in Diagnostic Radiography, graduating with first class honours from the University of Suffolk. I subsequently registered as a Diagnostic Radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and continue to work clinically on a part-time basis alongside my role with the Open University. I have recently completed a Post graduate Certificate (Clinical Pedagogy) with distinction with the University of the Highlands and Islands and am beginning my Masters studies shortly.

In addition, I am a member of the OU Health Research group and Open Thanatology group.

From time to time I undertake work as a guest lecturer & teaching fellow at Coventry University for the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health and am a Peer Reviewer for Radiography journal.

Research interests

I have a varied interest in research fields largely related to health and social care and the use of qualitative methods.

I am particularly interested in:

  • Patient experiences of healthcare
  • Novel uses of medical imaging in patient and staff education
  • Patient feedback and organisational responses
  • Dramaturgy
  • Death care

I would welcome any contact about potential research collaborations.
