Ibali was first created in 2018 by a team of researchers from the UK, South Africa, Sweden, Kenya, and Nigeria. The current team comprises of four researchers and three ethnographers who have a background in, and contextual knowledge of working with young people, teachers, teacher educators and policymakers in Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK. What brings the team together is a keen interest in researching inclusion and exclusion in education across geographical contexts using digital storytelling.
