Postgraduate Training Seminar on Storytelling

Two members of the Ibali team recently delivered a training seminar on using storytelling methodologies in qualitative research. This was a hybrid event organised by the Graduate School of the Open University in the UK for their doctoral students. The Ibali team based the seminar around the aims and experiences of the project, and sparked engaging discussions on the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of the storytelling approach. Students also got the chance to try out some storytelling activities such as freewriting and coming up with a research prompt.
