The Educational Gerontology SIG aims to raise the profile of lifelong and later life learning through events and opportunities for discussion and action.
For over a decade, Dr Jitka Vseteckova has been facilitating learning for older adults on how to age well and has designed a series of lectures in the community. The Ageing Well series are also delivered abroad in collaboration with UKeMED via an online platform that is funded by overseas healthcare organisations, who aim to support their populations with ageing well.
From 1995 CABS has collaborated with the Centre for Policy on Ageing to produce a series of seminars and publications, ‘The Representation of Older People in Ageing Research’.
