At a crossroads: Navigating work and/or family alongside study

This film-based interactive, developed by Philippa Waterhouse, Naomi Moller and colleagues at The Open University, has been designed for students who are also working or have family commitments. The film explores the various challenges that students can face in managing their multiple responsibilities, including tensions with family members, unsupportive work colleagues and a lack of time, as well offering evidence-informed tips.

Fathers experience of coping through football: uniting a community

Kerry Jones, Martin Robb and Sam Murphy explored 11 men’s experience of perinatal death (miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death) and being a member of a football team developed by and for bereaved men following perinatal death. The original SANDS United Football was founded by a bereaved father in Northampton, but similar clubs have since sprung up in locations across the UK offering a unique way for men and other bereaved family members to come together and find a different kind of support network. With 1 in 20 adults in the UK having a confirmed food allergy, it is essential that the food industry understand how they can create inclusive and safer dining experiences. In this podcast series, Claire McGuigan talks to different members of the food allergy community about their experiences, research, and views.
