Research projects

Long-term conditions are increasing rapidly across the globe. In particular, diabetes is becoming more prevalent and is often associated with poor mental health, a serious public health problem.

Through community-based initiatives, CoIN-DD research projects are addressing this challenge in a number of ways:

Understanding the scale of the problem
Building research capacity in Sub-Sahara African countries dealing with co-morbid diabetes and depression
Developing community-based initiatives to address the stigma associated with poor mental health
