Centre Launch Seminar

A seminar officially launching the centre took place on-line on 17 February 2021 with keynote presentations from Professor Gemma Moss (Director, International Literacy Centre, Institute of Education, University College London) and Jonathan Douglas, CBE (Chief Exectuvie, National Literacy Trust, UK).

These were followed by a panel discussion moderated by Professor Teresa Cremin (Co-Director, Centre for Literacy and Social Justice, The Open University).

The panel consisted of Rumena Aktar (Librarian, Firs Primary Academy), Megan Dixon (Co-Principal, Director of Aspirer Research School Sandbach Primary Academy), Marilyn Mottram (Former HMI and Deputy National Lead for English) and Sonia Thompson (Head Teacher and Director of St Matthew’s Research School).
