Geraldine Boyle leads this subgroup and it focuses on the following areas:

Equality: Gender, care and caring; intersectionality and care; caring dyads (especially when living with dementia); supporting people who lack capacity. 

Social justice: Moral perspectives on caring; equity issues in the distribution of care and caring; human rights, care and caring.  

Social production of care: Young carers; young adult carers; socialisation to lifelong caring.
