Why did you sign up for Take Five?

I was drawn to the simplicity of Take Five.  I liked the five pillars of ageing well as a focus – it allowed me to check in on my health and what I could improve. I was already a keen walker, but I got dumbbells to improve my strength. Eating is something that I know is my challenge, so I found the information there useful.

Did you enjoy taking part and if so why / if not, why?

I really liked the variety in each email – everything from Michael Moseley podcasts to information about strength. It isn’t prescriptive and gives participants choice. I also like the way Take Five can be tailored by people to themselves – you can choose what you like and don’t like and make it relevant to you.

Which action did you do and why?

I did move – I like to go for a walk but over the winter can struggle to get out as much. Having Take Five helped me ensure I got out more.

Do you think Take Five is a good idea and why?

I think Take Five is a great idea – it’s straight forward, simple and focuses in on the important areas for long term health. Plus, I learnt something from every email!

In what way/ways has Take Five changed your life, behaviours or attitudes?

Take Five has focussed me on what I need to improve on and given me a push so that I can maintain ongoing focus on these areas.
